Nagano Gold aimed at the Hardwicke Stakes at Ascot

Hardwicke Stakes runner-up Nagano Gold will have the Group Two at Royal Ascot after registering to the campaign with an unsuccessful tilt at the Prix de Triomphe as a target in 2020.
The five-year-old, whos educated in the Czech Republic, put up despite being severely hampered at the beginning, when going down at the Royal meeting.
He had to settle for eighth place supporting Waldgeist and was not able to replicate that effort in conditions that are sticky at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.
The Sixties Icon whole is likely to be put out for winter, but will race year.
The horse will be OK after the race. It wasnt a simple race . Possibly the ground has been too soft , said Tomas Janda, racing manager to owner-trainer Vaclav Juka Jr..
Wed expect for a little better place, however, the jockey affirmed the ground was too much to him.
He will probably not run again this year. Theres not any acceptable race , but he stays in training and so we will make plans for the next year.
The Hardwicke Stakes is quite likely. Ascot suits him. It is a race, it was great feeling.
We really enjoyed it, so I could imagine there is a really significant chance that he is going to return for that race. He was a bit unfortunate not to win this year.
Thats the likely race. The Gold Cup is still an extreme distance, although Hell stay perhaps.
I believe Ascot is likely for next season, with him also running in France and maybe attempting one or two races at England. There are choices.
